# Rewards & incentives \[Extra rewards flow into your product automatically; you decide whether they go to users, to you, or back into the share price]

On top of the base yield, protocols and token issuers pay bonus tokens to attract deposits: Morpho and Aave incentives, issuer airdrops, points programs. Almost all of them run on [Merkl](https://merkl.xyz). Without Railnet these tokens would sit at the product level and reach nobody; with Railnet they land on the Vehicle and follow rules you set once.

## Everything flows in by default

Campaigns already running on the protocols you distribute are picked up automatically, with nothing to integrate per campaign. Anyone can launch a campaign on top, self-serve on Merkl: the asset manager, Railnet, a token issuer, or you. A campaign you fund can boost only your own users, without involving the asset manager, and it follows the same rules as every other one.

## You choose what happens next

| Policy | What it does | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| **Pass it on** (default) | 100% to users, in proportion to what they hold | Wallets and exchanges that want to show a higher APR |
| **Take a fee** | You keep a share (10%, say) and users get the rest | Earning revenue on incentives without touching the product's fees |
| **Reinvest** | Rewards are sold and added back to the product, so the share price rises for everyone and users have nothing to claim | A single, simple APR; applies at the Vehicle or MultiVehicle level |

Rules are per reward token, so you can reinvest one and take 5% on the others, and you can change them at any time. On a Conduit, set them at spawn with `initialInterceptions` or later with `setInterceptions` (role `CONDUIT_SET_INTERCEPTIONS`). Contract details: [Interceptors](/developers/contracts/interceptors).

## Two parties, two sets of rules

When you distribute an asset manager's product, both of you set rules independently. The manager's rules apply on the Vehicle or MultiVehicle; yours apply on your Conduit to what reaches your users. If the manager takes 10% and you take 20%, your users receive 72% of the campaign.

## How users get their rewards

With pass-through or a fee, users claim on Merkl or directly in your app. With reinvest there is nothing to claim; the value is in the share price.
