# Yield sources \[Any on-chain yield behind one interface]

Every yield protocol has its own entry points, share math, capacity limits and timing. Railnet wraps each in a Vehicle speaking one lifecycle, [STEAM](/developers/contracts/steam-standard), so the source you offer is a configuration choice, not a new integration.

## How a protocol connects

A **native adapter** is written against the protocol's own contracts, for sources that are not vaults or that need specific handling: Aave V3 reserves, Morpho Blue markets, Ethena's sUSDe cooldown, Maple's Syrup withdrawal queue. Capacity checks mirror the protocol's real limits.

The **generic ERC-4626 adapter** covers synchronous tokenized vaults. Morpho Vaults, Euler Earn and most curated lending vaults need no new code: deploy a Vehicle pointing at the vault address. A variant tolerates unreliable `maxDeposit` and `maxRedeem` views.

The **generic ERC-7540 adapter** covers asynchronous vaults, Centrifuge included. The Vehicle batches user demand into one vault request and keepers claim the operator's settlement, so users see a pending deposit rather than a protocol queue.
